The Missio 30th Anniversary International First Prize (2001) for Contextual Philosophy and Theology for the paper, ―Gods of War and Wars of God: Religions and Violence in Contemporary Society.‖ The paper was presented at the Missio 30th anniversary function on November 3, 2001, at the Missionswissenschaftliches Institut, Aachen, Germany, and is published with the same title in The Yearbook of Contextual Theology, 2001 (Frankfurt: MWI,
2001): 33-59.
