The Eucharistic Celebration began at 8.30 am. The main celebrant for the mass was Fr. Joy Puthussery CMI, the Rector of Carmel Vidya Bhavan. Fr. Jose Thayil SJ, the registrar and Fr. Antony OSJ were the main concelebrants, and all other fathers too joined in for the Eucharist. Fr. Antony OSJ gave a wonderful homily signifying the theme that was ‘Empowering for Service’ and encouraged everyone to be active witnesses for Service. The melodious voice of Carmel Brothers made the eucharist more lively and pleasant. The mass concluded by 9.40 am and after that Fr. Jose Thayil welcomed all to have high tea which was organized by the registrar in front of the JDV Library. The class-coordinators took the lead for the whole event in collaboration with the CMI Community and the JDV staff.
