The Cultural Wing of the JDV Student Council celebrated the Teachers’ day cum Farewell Program for the Fourth Year Students of Theology at Papal Seminary Hall. The programme commenced at 12.00 noon with the words of welcome by Br Rex, S.J. the M.C. for the day.  Fr Mohan Doss S.V.D. was the chief guest. Br Harish M.S.F.S & team led the assembly into prayer through a hymn. Subsequently, Br Raja Kulandai S.V.D. from III BTh appreciated the professors for their valuable service and dedication, and the role they play in moulding students’ lives. The first year BTh students, then, entertained the audience by their enthralling dance performance for the teachers and the Fourth Year Students. Fr Mohan Doss, the chief guest was escorted to the stage and welcomed with a floral bouquet by Sr Swatha, the secretary of JDVSC. The chief guest gave a meaningful and inspiring message for the students on behalf of the staff appreciating the importance of students in the life of teachers. Then, the Sisters of One year Diploma Programme in theology bid adieu the Fourth Year Students through their melodious singing. Br Binaya C.M. shared his memories in JDV and expressed his gratefulness on behalf of the fourth year theologians. After this there was prize distribution by the Literary Wing for the two competitions i.e. Poetry composition and Cartoon Contest conducted in the month of July and August respectively. The teachers were felicitated with gifts (a water bottle) and had a photo session. It was followed by the felicitation of the outgoing students with gifts of a Book-Mark and Pen, and a photo session. The programme ended at 12.45 p.m.
